Life, Value & Purpose

Success and prosperity philosophy is to ‘understand life, your values and your purpose to it.’ Moreover, I have learned that it is wise to also study and understand the same aspect about the people you encounter in your life.

Nothing that you experience in your life is for granted, or an accident therefore be motioned in such a way that everything matters around you – most successful people see life like that, self-consciousness, mindfulness of what surrounds you is the true essence of being in control of your destination.

In this part I kind of want to breakdown this three major situation breakers before you, which are life, your values and your purpose in life, as I intend to help you solve situations in your life or see meaning in your life, as this elements will help you relate better to understand the illustrations which will follow in the later parts of these book (click on link to buy the book), therefore be alert of what you read in this part.

The better you understand your life, your values and your purpose thereof, you are likely to distinguish and understand situations you may encounter.

I would start by giving you a quote by myself in motivation of these book, which I believe will be meaningful to you and it will support my above remarks and it goes like this:

“If you don’t know who you are and why you are on this great planet, then you will view life difficult and unfair, which will likely discourage you more often, than you will be motivated, therefore its crucial to find who you are as well as your purpose and values to life .”

That quote kind of summaries the book, but you still have to read to book to understand  how to find your purpose, by going step by step. 

Even if you believe you have already found your purpose in life stay with me, yes I must congratulate you, because you are ninety per cent going to overcome any situation you may encounter or it may seem like that, however, I must still warn you that the actual ninety per cent can also destroy you if you are not careful with how to take on life.

What I mean to say is, (and I will use a general view –“we”) as we go through situations and solve them, we will observe, that we are often the cause of our situations and we are also the solutions to them, I think you will agree.

 

Imaging if you are ninety per cent likely to cause your downfall and ninety per cent chances are you will get yourselves out of there, it could cause you to be in a state of walking back and forth, more like you will walk for four hundred years to get to success, while it should have only took you fourty days (as the Israelite's did when they went to the promise land).

It’s a sad reality that exist, that we are a terror to ourselves, yet in the same we are the rescue army we desperately need!

It was Samson’s strength to conquer anything – the purpose was to defeat his enemy which where the Philistines, yet it was his weakness to love the women from the enemies camp, therefore it resulted in him disclosing the secret of his strength to the Philistines through the woman (Delilah) –which was his weakness – however the end result was because he begged God for one last strength – the strength to destroy himself with the enemy, he actually killed more Philistines that day than he did his entire lifetime.

 

 “It’s a sad reality that we are a terror, and a destruction to ourselves, yet we are the rescue army we desperately need to rebuild ourselves!”

What I am saying is that Samson achieved his life’s goal or his purpose in life –which was to kill as many Philistines which where Israel’s enemies in that era of the bible, however it equally destroyed him as well and that is what I am warn you here above when I said your better being can also be your weakness and what we have in us, must not lead us to self-destruction.

Your life is a onetime gift, it comes once and is gone once and I know people talk about meeting in past or future life’s, well I must disagree to a certain extent, my point being –if your circumstances, name and identity and the background of who you are today are not or where not the same in the past or future life, then it is rather fair for me to argue that it is not the same you in that life.

That is basically the basis of why we have to value our onetime existence and fulfill our onetime purpose and be able to say like Paul did;

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on the day –and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearance.” St Paul. 2 Timothy 4: 7-8 NIV 

Like Paul, your purpose is to fulfill the plan of God, it could be to minister to people, share some of your resources or wisdom with others or sometimes –although painful, it could be to suffer in a situation, poverty or sickness and endure throughout (in order to make people see your faith and believe in God), you will be calling on God nobly and with joy – I have seen many such people, yet their purpose is deep in their hearts and it is that one thing that makes them joyful when everything else seems to hurt them. It is what matters, when everything else seems to matter no more and it is the open door when they need refuge.

Value is Worth, Importance, Price, Success and Prosperity and this are the aspects we look at if we are to establish a business.

We also know that to calculate Value and Prosperity of a business we have to have a good business plan and in that plan, executives often consider the strategy plan as the key illustration of business success. In the strategy plan we look at the SWOTs, which are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of a business or of yourself.

I said 'or of yourself' above, because I want to connect the business model to you and this is how I want to do that; 

According to most constitution in the world when we reach the prescribed age, we become legal beings or are legal entities as it is deliberated in some courts.

We are then entitled to make business under our legal name, improve it, grow it and make profits with our identity and that is the value we have to see of our lives.

The point is there are people out there which act as our markets, associates, investors, stakeholders, competition and more out there and there is a prospering world that does not wait on anyone or anything for that matter and you have to catch up with it and remain intact to it, NEVER GET LEFT BEHIND!

The purpose why I emphasize the above is, because the only thing even after reading this entire book, or the bible or any great book written to motivate you; you have to find your purpose and your values in your life, and must have a certain amount of desire to make it work for you!

If there are no goals that you say you want to achieve in your life, you wouldn’t often convince yourself to get up in the morning. But if there are goal –good once for that matter, even if you get discouraged, even if ninety per cent of yourself is going to tell you it’s over, - your dreams, your goals and your purpose will pick you up out of your bed, bath you, dress you and bring you to where you have to be, to have your purpose fulfilled.

HOW TO TAKE ON NEGATIVE SITUATIONS

Negative situations are often equipment’s which tests or keeps our spiritual or mental being fit and ready to take charge of the next level, obviously the level above the level we are currently at. 

What any situation does therefore is, it pressures you into an uncomforting position with the goal to change most if not all of your positive perspective into thinking and processing below your values - for you to view your life negatively.

It means yourself when your situation comes upon you; say your spouse has moved out and is opting for a divorce – you convince yourself that you are a loser and you will NOT make it through without them and so on.

Situation are the process in which you are getting discouraged by yourself based on the results of what you see. Your negative tone speaks to you to convince you that you cannot make it through and so you lower your guard, which is your positive tone and that’s where people break.

It’s a mental process, meaning someone or something must redirect your viewpoint of life, convincing you that you are more than a conqueror and you can overcome what you see.

What we tend to avoid is that your discouragement must not overcome your ability to be convinced that you can get out of a situation – meaning: we avoid that you don’t get to a stage that you don’t even trust the very source that must pull you up.

MY PERSONAL CASE FOR EXAMPLE-

You see I have two siblings biologically which were diagnosed with HIV. My brother was diagnosed in 1996 and my sister several years later. My brother is still alive, a little bit weak, but still pushing on, whereas my sister passed away in 2010.

What I have learned from their characters is that my brother has a positive perspective of live; he is a lot lively and exited with an overenthusiastic approach towards live, my sister was shy and an withdrawn type of person, actually with a negative viewpoint in general, even before she became ill.

I have learned that my brother always looks forward for something new in life, while I have seen that my sister went without much hope.

When I realized she was ill, I remember how I tried to speak meaning into her, in order to encourage her. Still she would look at me straight in my eyes and say: “Manley, you see its over – it will not get any better from here.” How I wish I had known as much as I do today, I would have had a chance to offer her the best therapy to change her view of life.

Think of how painful it is to have have spoken like a speech long encouragement to someone in a situation and if they react with such down feedback and that means they have pass that thin line, that they don’t even trust what anyone or anything may present to them in encouragement.

I spoke to a certain young man David, who is currently studying to be a pastor and I know he will in the future share his testimony himself, he said; "...doctors diagnosed him with TB in 2007" and after suffering from the effect of his illness for a couple of years, he eventually decided to start the treatment which he initially resisted and the treated actually boosted his immune system to fight back the TB bacteria and he was going to be well again.

He told me the good news took him three month to sink in to his grab. He said he heard the people telling him he will be alright and even though he remembered how joyful they were, he only could see the end of him.

The reason for David denial of the good news was because his positive perspective of life was over shadowed by the negative and therefore if someone does not have any positive perspective of life, as I have presented above, they don’t see any purpose in life –no matter if they hear you telling them of it, obviously they would easily be discouraged.

The bottom line is they must find themselves again, must be redirected to their purpose in life and understanding their values of life in order to look forward to life once more and that is the purpose of this book; How to Find ME!
